What it can and cannot do
It finds ground that looks and behaves the same through the year: the same cover, the same wetting and drying, the same green coming and going with the seasons. It does not know what the ground is called. You supply the name: the best pasture, the wet corner, the old coffee.

- One year of ground, 2025. A field cleared or planted since then still reads as it was.
- A single tree, a narrow path or a fence line is too small to mark.
