What does not change

  • You hear at least 14 days before Pro starts charging, and nothing is charged unless you choose to pay.
  • Nothing is billed past a limit. At a limit, TERRA names the plan that holds more, and you choose.
  • Reading any land stays free, and a public reading stays open to everyone.

Questions

Is there a yearly price?
Yes, on every plan. $390 a year is $78 less than twelve months of Pro at $39, so two months are free. The other plans follow the same rule. All renew until you cancel.
Do I need a card?
For Pro, yes: a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on Contra, which holds the card and handles the tax. TERRA never sees it. Reading a parcel stays free and needs no account.
What counts toward a limit?
The lands you hold and the reports you issue each month. Public readings never count, and watching comes with every land you hold on a paid plan.
Who can see my reading?
A free reading is public: it appears on the map of public readings, and anyone can open it. A reading on a paid plan stays off that map and out of TERRA's shared record, and no link opens it for anyone else. You can publish it later, or never.
Where does the data come from?
From public and open records with global coverage: satellite images, soil and land-cover maps, forest loss year by year, the World Bank's climate models, species records, roads and buildings, rivers and watersheds, among others. Each one is named on the reading with its edition, resolution and licence. Where a country publishes more, such as its protected areas or the lands of its communities, the reading carries that too. What if I hold many lands?
Pro holds 10, Pro 25 and Business hold 25. For more than that, or for a file of thousands of parcels, Enterprise is a yearly licence from $12,000. Write to connect@dearwise.earth.
Can my name go on the reports?
On Business, only your name and logo show on readings and reports, and on the monthly letter. Write to connect@dearwise.earth.
